I have the exact same problem as: Why all gnome extensions showing outdated?

I have gnome shell 3.5.4, and I want to either downgrade or upgrade to a stable version so I have access to the gnome shell extensions. I have tried to do as described above, but it doesn't work for me either.

But it doesn't seem like there's been found a solution. Can anyone help me please?
