I have a fresh installation of 12.04.01 on my desktop computer and facing serious issues w.r.t to really big latencies when it comes to logging in the desktop, opening any program for the first time. Shut down is quick.

Attaching a snapshot of the bootlog. Could not figure out what the issue was. Any help is appreciated. I had Ubuntu 12.04 before that and I faced a similar issue on that as well. Hence I migrated to Linux Mint and the issue out there was recrtified...dunno how. I was unable to use Mint and switched back to Ubuntu hoping that the issue could be resolved. Somehow same issue persists even after an update. Want to give it a shot once again before I look for other alternatives.

My configuration is Processor: AMD Athlon X2 - 260 @ 3.3 Ghz (Not over clocked) RAM: 4GB@ 1333 GHz Seagate 160 GB Sata HDD as primary boot device Seagate 500 GB Sata for data storage

System is fully patched

.Has a gui based boot log

There two prgrams in the startup - Skype and empathy (Facebook, Gtalk, AIM,MSN, Yahoo, SIP, Jabber configured)
