i am using 12.04 on vmware 9, and when i try to set the launcher auto-hide function on, it hides permanently unless i press the windows key on my keyboard! So the sensitivity regulation isn't working. Is there a way to fix this issue?

You can increase even more the sensitivity from compizconfig-settinfgs-manager. If you don't have it , you can install it from Ubuntu software center. Goto Unity Plugin > Experimental
