Hello guys, I have already installed stable version of VLC from Ubuntu Software center. But i would like to try the latest beta VLC media player nightly builds <-- These ones

How can I do it?

First add the repository then you can upgrade the VLC:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:videolan/master-daily
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install vlc

Ahh first do i have to remove the Stable version of VLC before i install the VLC nightly version? Also how do i add the repositories? :/ Sorry im a new comer to ubuntu :] – user95092 Oct 9 '12 at 6:36

look just open a terminal and copy these commands to. this will install the new version – user61928 Oct 9 '12 at 6:38

Ah I used those 3 commands in termanl and it installed. But now when i am opening VLC its showing me Crash Error. – user95092 Oct 9 '12 at 6:46
