I have a Nokia 2700 classic phone. I tried installing obextool and Nokuntu. I run Nokuntu and find that every icon is enabled except for the Nokia Communication Centre, (it is greyed but is precisely what I need to be working!) I even tried connecting phone to laptop with a USB cable, and the same problem props up.
I can also browse the contents of the phone as well as the memory card, in whichever way, either the Nautilus or Obextool file manager. The only issue that needs sorting is the communication centre.
As an addendum, I'd like to add that I tried even removing-reinstalling the following:
nokuntu, obextool, the bluetooth and blueman
and in each case restarted the system after reinstalling, just to try and eliminate the problem whether it is with nokuntu, obextool, bluetooth or blueman. Nothing worked.
Finally I realised that is that there's still a problem with the bluetooth adapter, as I can see that no matter how many times I try, the pairing between my nokia and my acer with ubuntu, wouldn't last ten seconds. Is there a way to repair the driver vide a command? Else, can anyone suggest a good adapter that I can install on Ubuntu 12.04?
