I'm running both a transmitter and receiver. Both pieces of hardware worked ok in mythbuntu 11.
When two remote config files are included in lircd.conf I get different responses from irsend depending on which order they are loaded in. This causes a problem with the DVICO (the one named that in the config file) remote I use because its not being loaded correctly if the config files are backwards.
Seems to either be a problem with one of the config files (the DVICO one looks changed from my original) or lirc itself.
