I have Ubuntu 12.04 remote server and when I am selecting "Ubuntu Software Center", "Installed" menu it will not display anything except for wait clock and it hangs.

Also under "File" menu the "Install" and "Remove" are grayed out (can't select) so I can't install any software.

Am I missing some additional software?
