That's a little hard to answer, there really isn't a comprehensive manual/information base for Ubuntu. However in most cases you can simply google specific things and find them with relative ease. That is personally what I do, any time I think of something I would like to do, such as add custom right click menu's or display all folder names in terminal (useful if you have a massive media library and want a comprehensive list, so you don't have to type it). You just have to get out there and browse various websites that provide tutorials on things, the main ones I use are: http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/ , http://www.techdrivein.com/ , http://www.webupd8.org/ , and lately: http://www.howtogeek.com/ If its basics you want the Ubuntu website covers nearly everything: https://help.ubuntu.com/12.04/ubuntu-help/index.html Its just about finding things you want to learn in specific areas of the Ubuntu desktop. The sites I listed above not only cover useful tweaks but also news about Ubuntu, future releases of Ubuntu, and useful programs. I hope that helps you out. |
