I tried many possible ways and the instructions given by Google and Mozilla. But my Thunderbird cannot access to my Gmail.

I need ipv6 access in order to reach Google. And I have my /etc/hosts full of sites under google.com. I can reach google and gmail via firefox, without any proxy settings. I even installed Evolution for the

It is so easy to hook thunderbird to Gmail. You just enter your eail address and password and your done. – Goddard Oct 5 '12 at 20:08
