I've faced with the problem that is very uncomfortable to live with.

The problem is that when i click vai touchpad, Ubuntu for some reason delays this event untill cursor stops. I.e.: I move cursor. While moving I perforf a left button 'mousedown' (via touchpad) and continue moving cursor with a will to drag a window, for example. But when 'mousedown' is actually performed is the moment when I stop the cursor (it may be after 1 second, 2 seconds, or minute depending on the way I move the cursror).

So the only way to use it is a special stop of cursor by not touching touchpad (in other case, finger micromovements will make their dirty deal), then mousedown and then start drag.

There's no such problem with a mouse.

Can abybody help? Maybe, the driver for touchpad is malfunctioning?

I run under Kubuntu on HP Pavillion DV 6700 laptop.
