there is a flashing horizontal line in the top of my screen, I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 and I want to know how to fix it my specs are: Dell inspron 15r 5520 intel core i5 3 generation 3210 2.5GHz ivy bridge graphic radeon memory 4GB ddr3 single channel

Is the flashing horizontal line all you see, or does your graphical user interface work just fine (but with an annoying line)? If the latter, a screenshot would be very helpful. – Eliah Kagan Oct 4 '12 at 6:53

what was the fix to this bug? I have a similar issue on my Dell Vostro V2420..this happened after I did some updates on my Ubuntu 11.10 – Suvi Vignarajah Nov 7 '12 at 15:20
