I have an HP Pavilion dv6 laptop and a standalone monitor at home. They work correctly together when I plug the monitor in and configure it via Displays.

However, when I unplug the monitor and suspend the laptop, upon waking up I see only an inch or so of the rightmost portion of the desktop on the leftmost portion of my screen. This occurs whether or not I explicitly turn off the standalone monitor prior to unplugging it using the Displays feature.

I am running Ubuntu Desktop 12.04, x64. I was running Jupiter originally, but I removed it per the recommendation of several threads. That, however, appears to have had no effect.
