For some reason the show desktop icon in the below panel turned very small, when I change the theme and select the ambiance theme back it comes back to the normal size but when I restart the computer it again appears very small, also the ctrl+alt+d command doesn't works anymore.

Here are the screenshots:

I am on ubuntu 11.04 btw, and the reason I don't want to upgrade is that apart from this problem, everything else is working perfectly. – jsandhu Sep 30 '12 at 4:06
try re-sizing and shrinking (resize the panel to 30 pixels and again shrink it to defaults) ... it will help! – aking ubuntu Sep 30 '12 at 9:35
Resizing and shrinking the panel does changes the icon to default but whenever I restart my computer it's back to it's smaller size again, I was hoping for a permanent solution, don't want to resize and shrink every time I log in. – jsandhu Sep 30 '12 at 11:56
anyone has any solutions?? – jsandhu Oct 1 '12 at 14:48
