I've installed the latest version of Ubuntu on my PC. Every time I boot, I get a purple flickering screen. It takes me to the log in screen (I know this because i can hear the noise that indicates you're on it). It's as if there's a purple screen covering the log in screen that constantly flickers making it impossible to log in.

Does any one know how to fix this?
