I am trying to install CPMD suite in 4.6 (x86_64-linux-gnu) (ubuntu) system. This is not specified in the configuration file of the suite. What is the equivalent version of this? How do I create the configuration file for the same?

Please improve your question: (i) provide links to the software you are trying to install (ii) explain in detail what installation errors you are getting when following the software's installation manual (iii) provide information about your system, starting with the version of Ubuntu you are using. This is the site of the software which I am trying to install cpmd.org/download. My ubuntu version is Ubuntu 12.04 (precise), GCC version is 4.6 (x86_64-linux-gnu). I could not get the configuration file for this version of linux. Hope this information will suffice. – hasthi Sep 26 '12 at 9:32
