After installing 12.04 with the Windows Installer on my brand new SSD disk and rebooting, all I get is an error, something along the lines of

timeout: killing '/sbin/blkid -o udev -p /dev/sde1'.

It repeats a lot, and then it'll say something like

timeout killing /sbin/blkid terminated by signal 9.

Any idea what it might be? I watched someone on Youtube install it and I feel like I'm doing the exact same thing. The SSD is in NTFS format and has more than enough space.

What SSD are you using? This looks like problems with your disk. – January Sep 25 '12 at 21:11
