Maybe your messenger ID is in a spam list. You can access Tools-> Privacy and check "Allow only the users on my buddy list".

I recommend to ignore and report those users. I have same problem too on Emphaty messenger.

Edit, once again using Google Translate: Your idul somehow got a spam list. One solution would be to go to Tools, Privacy and choose "Allow only users on my buddy the list". Ideal would be to do something like "ignore & report" every time you receive such a message but do not know if you can in Pidgin.

Original:Idul tău a ajuns cumva într-o listă de spam. O soluție ar fi să intri la Tools, Privacy si să alegi „Allow only the users on my buddy list”. Ideal ar fi să faci ceva de genul „ignore & report” de fiecare dată când primești un asemenea mesaj dar nu știu dacă se poate în Pidgin.

-1 because I had to translate this for you, please use English only here / pentru că am avut de a traduce acest lucru pentru tine, vă rugăm să folosiți numai în limba engleză aici. – Tom Brossman Sep 25 '12 at 11:56
Why? Is this a rule? Please show it to me.. – Miggs Sep 25 '12 at 11:57
Try here, here or here. I understand most people don't speak English but the answer is not useful to the vast majority of people here unless it is in English. You aren't sending a private email to an individual, you are posting publicly to an English-speaking audience here. – Tom Brossman Sep 25 '12 at 12:03
Those are just questions on which a few people agreed a thing is better than the other. Please show me an official rule from askubuntu guidelines that states it. If there's no such thing you're committing an abuse. A question/answer in a foreign language is not individual, it's addressed to all its speakers. I agree that English would be better but if that's not possible, foreign is still better than nothing. – Miggs Sep 25 '12 at 12:11
There is no official rule, I never said it was, and I am not going to debate this with you in the comments. I read your answer in Romanian and was unable to understand it. It was not useful to me. I downvoted it, taking the time to leave a comment explaining why and doing the translation for you. It is unlikely a majority would agree with your claim that this is 'abuse'. – Tom Brossman Sep 25 '12 at 12:17
