Why is it that when I log in using a Windows computer, I have access to much more music in Ubuntu Music Store than when I log in using a Ubuntu computer? It seems rather strange to me.
It probably has to do with the country you are from.Due to licensing, only certain songs can be sold in certain parts of the world. For EG, when using the music store through ubuntu, since from Australia, im shown the world list of music.Which includes only songs from independent labels. Unfortunately, no major labels license songs on a world-wide basis. Countries not covered by the rest of the regional stores will use this store. Now when visiting the site from a browser, from windows, you are taken to the US store.Songs from all four major and independent labels are available from this store. You are asked to log in when making a purchase. Were you actually able to purchase when visiting from windows or told its not available and redirected to the world store??
