Is there a way to control the metadata that is saved in a LibreOffice document? I want to:

  • Add comments of my own.
  • Prevent date and time metadata from being saved.

If you download this file: and move it to "~/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts/" and make it executable, you can then right-click an ODT file containing Comments and select from the context-menu "Scripts/Remove ODT Comment Dates" to remove all date and time stamps from the comments in that file, and save it as "*.new.odt"

Note: This simple Nautilus script has only been tested with LibreOffice 3.6 under Ubuntu 12.10.
