My ubuntu machine which has an Intel bgn Shiloh Wi-Fi chip has problems after the recent upgrade to .30 kernel on 12.04. On .29 it worked fine, However since the upgrade my laptop keeps connecting and disconnecting with the access point after periodic intervals, initially I thought it was a service provider problem, However I face no such problem with my phone or with my Windows Laptop.

How do I know what changed from 12.04 .29 kernel to .30 kernel specific to Intel wireless?

If you boot into .29 with Grub, do the problems disappear? If so it should be a fairly easy "fix" to use the .29 modules in .30. – izx Sep 20 '12 at 4:11
