On Ubuntu 10.04, at least, using gdm and gnome 2, if one would try to shutdown/restart the computer from the GUI, and if, at this time, another session is running on the same computer (SSH, tty), she was given a dialog telling why her computer won't restart/shutdown, showing a list of other connected users and asking for an admin password to force this action.
On Ubuntu 12.04 (lightdm, unity), one can't shutdown its computer in the same manner but there is nothing to tell her why. This is confusing.
So, is there a way to show a similar dialog within unity and/or lightdm ?
Just found a opened bug for this : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-greeter/+bug/861171
