Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I tried reassigning it (as an answer to another questions said), but pressing Ctrl+Q quits the keyboard settings window.

Is there a painless way of doing this?

I just found %gconf.xml in ~/.gconf/desktop/gnome/keybindings/custom0, but I do not know what to put inside <stringvalue></stringvalue> of the <entry name="binding" ...> element. Anyone ? – nlognfan Sep 17 '12 at 8:00
The question is answered perfectly here: askubuntu.com/questions/201227/how-to-disable-ctrlq-system-wide – peter Oct 19 '12 at 19:43
