I have 2 network cards in my server and ubuntu 12.04. The problem is that the D-Link DFE 580TX has a very slow transfer. Is this a driver issue? How can it be fixed?

This is what I found out while playing around: If I set interfaces eth2, eth3 and eth4 to down (ifconfig ethX) the speed is normal on eht1 (this ports are on the same DFE 580TX NIC). It seems to be a problem with the sundance driver in Ubuntu 12.04. The NIC keeps crashing with error: eth1: Transmit timed out, TxStatus 00 TxFrameId 02, resetting. The only solution was it for me to replace this 4 port NIC with the single port Intel NIC. – Luka Sep 18 '12 at 18:25
AMD-Vi: Event logged [IO_PAGE_FAULT followed by the call trace clearly shows this is a bug. Please refer to How do I report a bug? – gertvdijk Jan 16 at 18:35
I recommend reporting this as a bug. After reading that thoroughly, start reporting with ubuntu-bug linux. (As gertvdijk suggested, this question also has some good information about bug reporting.)
