I realise there have been many reported issues with bluetooth in 11.10, but none of the previous solutions appeared to apply in my case.

I have a Thinkpad Bluetooth mouse, trying to connect to my T400 running 11.10. When the mouse "wakes up" a dialogue appears asking me if I want to grant access to the mouse, together with an option to "always grant access". This I do, only for the dialogue to re-appear at the next movement of the mouse. The cursor does not respond.

The mouse appears under "add new device" in the Bluetooth manager, but only sporadically. Attempting to actually add the device returns "setting up bluetooth device failed.", regardless of PIN/pairing option.

My trackpad works fine.

I've tried using the "blueman" device manager with the same result.

I've tried the solutions reported here:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1858493

and here

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1850002

without success.

Someone must have solved this problem before!

Any help very much appreciated!
