I just installed Ubuntu for the first time,

I click on the wireless icon to connect to my network.

The popup opens and asks for my wireless password.

I enter my password.

The connect button cannot be clicked, it stays grayed out.

What gives?

Just went into edit and changed the settings to WPA-Personal.

I am now able to type in my full password. Now it won't connect to my network and keeps asking for me to enter my password after about two minutes of trying to connect.

I just noticed that when I start typing in my password that when I reach the 5th char. the connect button becomes active. Type any more chars. than that, it grays back out? – Steve Brock Sep 14 '12 at 12:31
