I am using ubuntu 12.04 alongside windows 7 . While using ubuntu for 10-15 minutes i find my laptop quite hot while no such issue with windows 7 .i have tried jupiter but no difference . please help me.. Dell vostro Core 2 Duo GMA 4500 MHD

About 55-60 degrees centigrade it seems from the bottom ( i suppose the Hard disk is located under that portion ) while it is normal (35-40) with windows . i can't use it on my lap.

I got also vostro but with i7 it runs 58-75" but mine radeon 7650 is overheating – Max Małecki Nov 24 '12 at 0:49
