I have this external hard drive, MyBook, connected by eSata to my Ubuntu server (12.04). When I plug the hard drive after bootup, I'm able to mount via /dev/sdc1. It works all right, without any additional option. However, when I reboot my server, I have to plug/unplug the eSata drive in order to be able to mount it.
I'm getting the following in syslog:
CIFS: The /proc/fs/cifs/OplockEnabled interface will be removed in kernel version 3.4. Please migrate to using the 'enable_oplocks' module parameter in cifs.ko. CIFS VFS: default security mechanism requested. The default security mechanism will be upgraded from ntlm to ntlmv2 in kernel release 3.3
Nothing else than that. As if it was not even trying to detect the eSata ?
