I have a multiseat configuration with 2 Nvidia cards. Everything was working under 11.10 but since the upgrade I'm having trouble with ligtdm/unity-greeter.

Either lightdm or the unity-greeter now appears to be flaky.

When lightdm starts now, the users are displayed but a password text field is not displayed. Restarting lightdm does not resolve the issue. However, if I stop lightdm, start gdm, stop gdm, and start lightdm, the issue is resolved.

Anyone else with a similar setup seeing a similar behaviour?

Lightdm seems to keep crashing and neglecting to reap children:
