I am currently using Pinguy a Ubuntu 12.04 based distro. I want to upgrade to Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS but I want that can I install the software's complied in the Pinguy's Live DVD. I won't able to download & install as I am a beginner & my internet connection is very slow and limited download.

If its possible please give step by step instructions.

Search the install disk for .deb files. If they are supplied you could use these to install from, however dependencies would still need to be installed.

If you have limited download ability you should keep a copy of all .deb files saved in /var/cache/apt/archives. If you restore these files on a second machine or after a re-install it can save you heaps of time downloading them again from the repositories.
