I have just installed 12.04 on my Asus K43SJ with a USB installer.
Now, I can't see my DVD drive in the
/media but when I go to the Disk Utility, I can see that it is recognized.
The CD/DVD drive hardware button also doesn't work anymore. I press it and it won't even light up to eject.
Do I have to install a driver of some sort?
I used this in the terminal as i've seen in other posts and it ejects fine.
I loaded a DVD in and it play the dvd flawlessly. But I just can't see the DVD/CD drive icon in my /media
How can i make the dvd icon show up?
I searched around the forum queries and found this...
