I have bought a Dell Inspiron N5520 laptop. But after installing 12.04 or any other versions (e.g. 10.04, 11.04, 11.10), I cannot find any wireless network. Even the wireless network settings are not available.

I think this is due to some driver problems. I connected my PC to Ethernet LAN and tried to download the drivers through Addition Driver Installation software, but it shows only the Display and Graphics Drivers.

What to do now? Please help. I am a college guy and need Ubuntu for programming. I am going to connect it again to LAN.

Hello, open a terminal (ctr-alt-t) and type in lspci. It will list your wireless card at the very end. Then we can find how to install the driver. – Colin Matheson Aug 26 '12 at 18:31
Did you ever run gksu jockey-gtk and lspci as Web-E had suggested? – Eliah Kagan Jan 23 at 18:41
