Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I had a corrupted mount point for a USB Flash Disk. Based on some reading, I installed "openafs-client" and used "fs flushm" command. The USB issue got cleared but my entire (unlimited) Firefox history got wiped out!

My system is Ubuntu 11.10 and Firefox 7.0.1. (please don't be surprised with the old browser version - this is a standby desktop).

Does any one have any clue if the "fs flushm" command has any thing to do with this, as that is the only thing I did between the last successful use of Firefox history and its wipe-out?
