I have installed 12.04. It detects my Wi-Fi USB adapter and shows all available connections including mine. Upon asking, I provide correct password but it is not connecting to Internet. What should I do?

I have installed 12.04 on VirtualBox on Windows XP on the same machine where it connects to Internet with the same Wi-Fi USB adapter. After un-installing VirtualBox and Ubuntu and re-installing, it is still not connecting.

I need a solution if someone can provide me with.
