I followed this link

Correct Way to install the graphic card drivers

The link seemed to work fine, as I was able to install the drivers; but with following issues"-

  1. I wasn't able to run this command:- sudo sh /usr/share/ati/fglrx-uninstall.sh
  2. I was also not able to run this command:- debconf libstdc++6 dkms libqtgui4 wget execstack libelfg0 dh-modaliases

But I am able to run fglrxinfo and other related commands.

System Specifications:-

Graphic Card:- Amd Raedon 6400 series (1G) Ubuntu version:- 12.04 64bit (Fresh Install)

The screen shot of the commands:-

This looks fine to me, are you having any issues with the drivers you are using. if so why are you trying to run the unistall command. There are otherways to remove the drivers thats what your objective is. If your merely asking are your drivers installed correctly you you edit your question with the issues you are experiening. I cannot recreate this so i dont understand why this specific command in not running correctly as it run correctly on my machine. the only thing i can identify is that libstdc++6 may not be installed correctly. – Stephen Myall Aug 24 '12 at 11:10
