I am using win2008 r2 server in my past.

I have installed ubuntu in my pen-drive whenever I want to get it on my d:drive which have 300GB space.

I have win 2008 r2 alongside linux how I can make a move to d drive from pendrive.

I have download it from site as AMD64 ISO and extract it in pen-drive. run the setup and choose 3rd option (not reboot). it's run and restart my computer. I install it as next next click. when I start it's show me to install again. next time I choose to boot from pen-drive then they show me installation username I set so I thing it's installed it in my pen-drive.

I have install many software but doesn't found it's have installed on pen-drive so I unplugged it and found that system kind of thing still shown in computer so I feel it's not installed in pen-drive.

Did you just put it on using uNetbootin, or did you do a full installation there? – ObsessiveSSOℲ Aug 20 '12 at 17:47
Take a look at Clonezilla – Mitch Aug 20 '12 at 18:04
I am confused. I have install it from Pen-drive (wubi) and it's worked when I unplugged my pen-drive. – Gupta Anirudha Aug 20 '12 at 18:10
I have installed it inside windows through wubi – Gupta Anirudha Aug 20 '12 at 18:21

Please explain a little more. Pen-drive and wubi are not the same thing. Most people use the USB Pen-drive as an alternative to CD/DVD to be used for installation to the hard drive. Wubi installation is a special type of installation in the hard drive (usually C:). Have you installed Ubuntu using the wubi.exe from a USB drive into your hard drive (C:)? Or have you installed Ubuntu using Wubi but instead of the default C: drive, stored the system in the Pen drive (this would need a large e.g. 16GB pen drive)? – user68186 Aug 20 '12 at 18:23
