My Ubuntu 12.04 LTS does not detect any wireless network unless I reboot with the ethernet connected. With ethernet connection, both the WiFi and ethernet are detected and, even if I remove the cable, WiFi keeps working. However, each time, I am having to boot my laptop with the LAN connected to be able to use WLAN.
Hello following all the problems i was having, I felt annoyed and re-installed ubuntu from scratch. Now, I can connect to the ethernet connection but no wireless is detected at all (even with cable connected) . Trouble??
Here is my hardware configuration.
ifconfigbefore and after plugging in with ethernet and posting the results here. – InkBlend Aug 17 '12 at 18:26
