I logged out of Gnome-Shell on my laptop as I had just installed a Conky for Audacious. When I logged back in my theme, wallpaper and icons had reverted to default and I could not change them back to what I had.

Furthermore everything (text, apps) was LARGE. I switched to Unity and found the same had occurred there. Same with Cinnamon. The only desktop that seemed the same was Pantheon.

Advanced Settings in Gnome-Shell shows my settings for theme and icons are correct but I have the default icons and a blue background where it used to be black.

I have never had this problem before. Conky works in Pantheon so I don't think that's the problem. I removed Zeitgeist several days ago but no problems occurred. Does anyone know what this problem could be? Could there be a delay after removing Zeitgeist?
