Good evening, guys,

Every time I log into 12.04 (fresh install), I get what seems to be a randomly-timed xserver crash which causes the screen and mouse to lock up, before logging me out of my session. I found a similar issue online which suggested I update the kernel, which I have done, and that seems to have increased the time I get before the crash happens again, but it's starting to get on my nerves. This is what I get from the error reporter:

Title: Xorg crashed with SIGSEGV in XIGetDeviceProperty() Package: xserver-xorg-core 2:1.11.4-0ubuntu10.6

I'm using an Acer Aspire One netbook, so all of the answers which currently exist recommending a removal of the nVidia drivers isn't really going to help me, is it?

Cheers
