I have a problem that looks similar to HP Probook 4530s fan constantly running, but then for another HP probook: The HP probook 4330s. I've installed ubuntu 12.04, and it works fine, only the fan keeps on running. It is not running at full speed, but it's close to it. Sensors gives me the following output:

debzf@dirklinuxNew:~$ sensors
acpitz-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1: +48.0°C (crit = +128.0°C)
temp2: +0.0°C (crit = +128.0°C)
temp3: +38.0°C (crit = +128.0°C)
temp4: +44.0°C (crit = +128.0°C)
temp5: +27.0°C (crit = +128.0°C)
temp6: +0.0°C (crit = +128.0°C)
temp7: +0.0°C (crit = +128.0°C)
temp8: +0.0°C (crit = +128.0°C)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

regards,

Dirk

I've tried to install laptop_tools, but to no avail. – Dirk B. Aug 12 '12 at 8:09
I brought the laptop back to the store. Watch out for the HP probook 4330s! The fan is really a nuisance! – Dirk B. Sep 6 '12 at 13:05
