I recently wanted to try something else than Windows so I tried to install 12.04.
My spec are: Radeon 6790 MSI Gigabyte ma770t-ud3 Athlon II x635.
When I try to install, all I get, after hitting install Ubuntu at boot menu, is a blurry screen.
I thought its a graphic drivers problem, so I went on Googling. I read that setting nomodeset and then xforcevesa would help.
So I got it installed yet all I get is a command line, no GUI. It asks for login and password.
I don't know what to do next, to get drivers and to run in normal screen with wallpaper.
I'd be very grateful for any help.
