I have configured an Ubuntu Server 12.04 on my local network which is used as a development machine with some sites that use PHP and Virtualmin is installed.

I have another Server machine that I thought to use as a pre-prod machine. I have thought to install Ubuntu server as well.

The challenges that I need help with are:

  1. What do I need to add the server to the network? Is there any specific steps I have to think about to be able to access the files although (DEV and Pre-Prod) have the same IP address?
  2. What software do I need to be able to deploy the files (Dynamic PHP and mySQL) from being under DEV to Pre-Prod?

I can manage installing any OS on the new machine as well as Virtualmin.

I appreciate your kind help.
