I need simple screensaver which would allow me to:

  • play videos (using mplayer)
  • show slideshow from pictures in given directory
  • lock the screen (optional)

Screensaver should be easy to configure (parsable config file), and simple. Probably written in Python.

Xscreensaver seems very complicated, old, hard to extend and configure.

Simply because I like Python. But it is not strict requirement. – marcinpz Aug 10 '12 at 8:16
