How do I get the Acer V193 driver or its equivalent for Ubuntu 10.04, so Ubuntu 10.04 will detect my monitor? I'm pretty sure I've got Intel Graphics. I have tried this solution, which did not change any options for me to set.
What is the highest resolution I can expect?
1024x768 is too large, and 1280x1024 looks funny.
The only resolution Ubuntu allows me is 1360x768, and it looks awful.
I've read other posts here about using xrandr, but everything I've tried gets me to 1360.768 and, as I said previously, it looks awful.
Do I need a larger monitor and one that's rectangular?
