Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'm on 12.04 32bit using Chromium. I installed Unity Web Apps preview. When i go to Gmail i do not get a Webapps prompt in Chromium. I'm also having this issue with other sites like Facebook. It does work fine for other sites like Youtube, Launchpad and Google Calendar. I would like to get it working at least for Gmail since it's all I would really use this for.

give it sometime, it will automatically ask you after a few visits. you might have to login into Gmail for the prompt to show up.
