Call me nerd but I have no idea what your question has to do with Ubuntu. –  Nickolas Aug 7 '12 at 20:40
@Nick This question is asking whether or not something should be considered normal behavior for a program officially packaged and included in Ubuntu. By the FAQ, I think we should consider that on-topic. On the other hand, this might be considered too localized. –  Eliah Kagan Aug 7 '12 at 20:43
@Nick See screenshot, it's related to Ubuntu menu bar integration –  baptx Aug 7 '12 at 20:44
@baptx You may want to edit the question to make this clear--most people will not click on a link in a question unless the text in the question has interested them. –  Eliah Kagan Aug 7 '12 at 20:44
You are both correct but to me it looks more like a bug which should be report to Launchpad. –  Nickolas Aug 7 '12 at 20:45

I wouldn't consider this a serious bug, but it certainly is a bug, and it's worth reporting as one.

Text in the title bar should not be cut off at the top and the bottom, which is what is happening here as a result of two lines being crammed into a space that can only fit one.

This bug should be reported against firefox in Ubuntu, using Apport. See these resources for details:

When reporting the bug, please make sure to provide details about how to reproduce the problem, state specifically what is happening that shouldn't be (or what isn't happening that you think should), and attach a screenshot to the bug report on Launchpad. Apport will send data about your Firefox installation to Launchpad, where you'll fill out a bug report, as explained in the above two resources.

Thanks, I will report a bug. Very weird issue by the way, I've just installed Ubuntu and opened a webpage where Ubuntu can't handle the title, it's not common at all. –  baptx Aug 7 '12 at 20:57
For your information, I've opened webpage in a hex editor and I can see UTF-8 code 0xE2 0x80 0xA8 (e280a8) after the word "Specification" of the title, it's a line separator who is causing problem (UTF-16: 0x2028) fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/2028/index.htm –  baptx Aug 8 '12 at 20:23
@baptx Please make sure to include that information in your bug report. Also, can you comment with a link to your bug report? –  Eliah Kagan Aug 8 '12 at 20:36
I will do the bug report this week and will share the link here. Just found more information about this line separator (LS) on Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newline#Unicode –  baptx Aug 9 '12 at 9:13
This is happening with the paragraph separator (PS) too. It only fails on Ubuntu panel when the byte order mark (BOM) is enabled en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byte_order_mark –  baptx Aug 14 '12 at 20:01
