Since Linux on my desktop was updated from 11.04 to 12.04, I experienced problems of system instability few times a day: during the work the system restarts suddenly.

What should I do?

Check logfiles in /var/log/ or open logviewer through dash and search for errors. Then add 1 of them into this question if the answer is not yet available on AU and make new ones for every other error (if them seem unrelated). What you ask now is way too vague and I guess "re-install" might be an answer (maybe something got messed up while upgrading but like I said: way too vague(. – Rinzwind Aug 6 '12 at 18:48
