How can I overclock a Pentium D CPU? [closed]

I am trying to overclock an intel pentenium 4 dual core currently at 2.80 ghz, and was wondering what overclock I should put it at. when I use http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/ubuntu-cpu-information/'s guide find out my specs, it comes up with this.

As an old-school Pentium 4/Pentium D, you overclock it by:

• Increasing the FSB
• Adjusting the PCI divider (and maybe PCI-E clock)
• Adjusting the DRAM clock multiplier

provided your motherboard supports all this. That's the most stable way to do it. You will have to contact your motherboard manufacturer to see if they provide any Linux utilities that will let you do this in software.

This really isn't related to Ubuntu..?

Overclocking isn't something you should asking about how to do. You can end up with broken hardware. You will need to read about it so you understand how it works and what you need to change.

Unless you have some of the an engineering sample of a pentium 4 then the multipler is locked. This makes overclocking much harder. The only way is to increase your FSB which in the P4's is limited to 10% increase by intel to protect the hardware.

Really its not easy or worth you while with that chip. If you really want to jump in to BIOS and punch up your FSB very slowly checking for stability everytime with prime95 and using something like real temp to keep your temps in check. But i wouldnt recommend it with this chip.
