I cannot for the life of me get OpenGL to work on the computer I use for my day job. It is using an on-board graphics card with an Intel chip-set. Here is some hopefully useful and relevant information to help with some solutions from the gurus out there!
The original URL of the purchase link:
The machine is no longer available but you can see that the specifications are embedded in the URL, but here is the uname output:
Linux sean-the-sheep 3.2.0-25-generic #40-Ubuntu
SMP Wed May 23 20:30:51 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
All I want is for OpenGL to install and work... at lunch I wanted to extend my OpenGL knowledge with Haskell and I can't, plus I cannot run all those lovely xscreensaver modules!
scharles@sean-the-sheep:~$ sudo lshw -C video

This means that OpenGL is pretty well borked on this machine... I am not sure that it ever worked. It was delivered with Windows 7 on it but I fixed that and put Ubuntu on it pretty soon after it arrived.

I have looked on the HP support pages for drivers for Linux but I couldn't find anything there at all. This is the first time in years that I've not been able to fix something myself on Ubuntu and it is humbling!
So, anybody got any suggestions? Buying another card is not an option!
