My question remains the same but what i am actually looking for is the inf file which can actually detect the modem. Genome ppp or modem switch does even notice the manufacturer of the modem. The solution with genome ppp does not work because this is a GSM modem not CDMA modem. It need either a driver or a inf file which can actually identify the modem.I have installed linux driver for wireless device but of no help. Every solution works if the modem actually got detected. How to detected a unknown hardware could solve the problem. If any ubuntu expert could help, i will very much obliged to him. The inf file provided by exe file in the modem not recognize the hardware.
