I have compaq PresarioV200, and when I plugin my Infocus DLP projector to my laptop
and press Fn + F4 to activate the projector sometimes it works, but most of the times it doesn't, after a few tries it projects, but most of the time I have to restart my laptop...Please help.

What happens if you use the Preferences > Display (or the Nvidia replacement for Display, if that is what you have) instead of the function keys? – pcapademic Jan 29 '11 at 22:40
